Cockshead

The cockshead is a fodder palnt particularly suitable for hot-arid climates. It is very resistant to high temperatures, drought and in clay soils it has an anti-erosive action. On the other hand, it cannot stand very low winter temperatures.

Habit: Prostrate-ascending, with branched stems, height 145 cm

Vegetative cycle: Medium-early

Tolerances: High at low temperatures, drought and main phytopathies

Sowing period: September-October / February-March

Sowing rate: 25-35 Kg /Ha

Use: Forage, pasture and silage

Characteristics: Rustic, with little water requirement, excellent green manure, with deep and vigorous root system. It produces excellent quality biomass and forage
